Right from the start line the route goes to the left and down onto a dirt road. After 3,5 km of smooth descend you run over a suspension bridge and past Azau Check point. On 4,5 km from the start, the climb to the cable car station begins. There is a spring waiting for you near Ai cafe where you can replenish water supplies. From this point starts the traverse route leading towards the Dongur-Orun-Kel lake. On the 11th kilometer of the race you will reach Cheget Check point. After Cheget Check point you cross the bridge over Donguzorun River and start a 3,7 kilometers long climb up to Professor Abdulakhin Pass (3200m), which is the highest point of the route. The total elevation gain will be 1200 meters. Next comes a 1 km hard descend to Kogutaika River. You ford this river on the 17th kilometer of the race and start descending along a magnificent trail among the pine forest to the Narzan Check point, from where on the 18,5th kilometer you go out to the Ecotrope. 7 km of smooth ascent along the Ecotrope leads you to the Azau Check point. The time barrier for this Check point is 13:30. There is a road crossing after this check point. After crossing the road you start a 2,5 km climb up the Garabashi gorge. The total elevation gain is 750 meters. From here, there is a 2 km traverse along a good dirt road with short ascends and descends that leads to the ski lifts. Go out to the ski slope and down 3,5 km to the finish line.
